A New Voice in Christian Pop: Allison Eide Drops “IDK” and It's A Tune!

There must be something in the water as there's a new wave of Christian-pop artists emerging in music...and you know what, heaven yeah!
This new generation come with a different attitude and approach to gospel, blending contemporary sounds, from alt-pop to ambient R&B with Christian-rooted messages, creating a style that resonates powerfully with younger ears.
In particular, I'm talking about upcoming artist, Allison Eide, who released her latest single, 'IDK' on July 18th, 2025, and it's the best thing I've discovered on TikTok all week!
Fans have begun dubbing her the “Christian Billie Eilish” for several reasons, and I'm inclined to agree! Her style in the promo for 'IDK' of baggy sports clothes and a cap, resembles Billie as well as her moody yet hopeful and playful vibe, which is so different to the gospel artists of yesteryear. Very refreshing too.

The song captures the feelings of anxiety and self doubt, which is a very relatable and timely topic to delve into, in this modern world where mental health is still stigmatised. But, relying on "the one who knows it all", is how Eide overcomes her fears, encouraging listeners to do the same.
You may or may not have known this, but Allison Eide is from Minnesota, and is known as the “singer‑athlete gal” since she began performing with her father (Peder Eide 'who was a national singer-songwriter and worship artist for 25+ years') at just 12 years old and carried her athletic discipline through a four‑year NCAA basketball career. Impressive stuff. We love a versatile queen!
Through her music and online presence she's steadily building a platform and making a name for herself centred around healing, belonging and honesty.
Her message is clear and essential: you are not alone. As 'IDK' spreads across playlists and social feeds, Allison Eide stands at the forefront of a movement redefining Christian-pop for Gen Z and beyond.
