Lost Generation, Skip To The Good Bit and Down With The Trumpets are just a handful of Rizzle Kicks' hits, that captured the imagination of teens across the world back in the 10s.
I remember listening to these songs growing up and absolutely loving them, particularly Lost Generation - it was so poignant, poetic and described what so many people felt about being a modern-day rebel without a cause.
Then, they disappeared.
I don't remember seeing any announcement to say Rizzle Kicks were going on hiatus or permanently breaking up but it went very, very quiet all of a sudden.
Fast forward almost a decade and the Rap/Hip-Hop duo, comprised of Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule, have now returned! And, myself and their millions of fans are over the moon about it!
They've released a string of new songs which are all SO good, and there's one in particular that I'd LOVE to highlight on my blog called Follow Excitement and featuring, Rachel Chinouriri.
Listen to the official track here and then I'll chat more about it:
So good right?!
It's very playful in tone and that's exactly what draws me to it. Rizzle Kicks' rhymes feel mostly family-friendly and carve out a pathway that almost puts them in a category of their own, in the sense that, there's not many rap duos that would say in a line "Yeah ain't nobody stopping me....ate my greens, yeah ate all of my broccoli" - it's just brilliant, fun and v unserious!

Follow Excitement is such a fantastic reminder of everything Rizzle Kicks are so loved for in the first place.
It’s a track that captures both nostalgia and evolution, staying true to their signature charm while introducing a fresh sound with the help of Rachel Chinouriri’s dreamy vocals.
If this is just the beginning of their comeback, then we’re in for something really special!
The boys are back and they’ve still got it. Follow the excitement, indeed.
And...follow them on socials: @RizzleKicks
